Roma wonderkid Cengiz Under has been nicknamed the new Mohamed Salah after replacing the Egypt international following his move to Liverpool.
So does the youngster picked to fill Salah’s boots over in Rome rate his predecessor?
Well as it turns out he does – who couldn’t!
Under named his best starting XI in a recent interview with the Hurriyet newspaper sports service.
Cristiano Ronaldo will probably not want to hear who the young winger rates as being the best in the world… you guessed it. Lionel Messi.
Under did however, include the Real Madrid star in the lineup along with his teammates Sergio Ramos, Luka Modric and Marcelo.
Salah was not the only Premier League player named in the team, Manchester City duo David Silva and Kevin De Bruyne also made the cut. In fact after Messi, Silva was the other player Under singled out.
Funnily enough Under did not name any of his Turkey international teammates in his dream side.
This is what Under had to say: “Lionel Messi is the best in the world, and I really like David Silva too. My ideal 11 would be Alisson in goal, defended by Dani Alves, Sergio Ramos, Thiago Silva and Marcelo, then Luka Modric, David Silva, Kevin De Bruyne, Salah, Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.”
