Juventus star midfielder Sami Khedira has laughed off reports stating that he has confirmed Liverpool midfielder Emre Can’s move to Turin.
According to Sports Illustrated senior writer Grant Wahl, Khedira stated that all signs are pointing to Can signing with Juventus.
Wahl went onto state that his source spoke with Khedira.
“My source recently spoke to Juve’s Sami Khedira, Can’s Germany teammate,” Grant Wahl wrote in his column.
“And Khedira said yes, it’s going to happen.”
However, Khedira appears to have no knowledge of the conversation which supposedly took place.
The Germany international took to social media in absolute astonishment to pour cold water over the Sports Illustrated report.
Khedira posed a gif of himself in shock and included the following caption, “A Sports Illustrated source heard me confirm Emre Can is coming to Juventus this summer. Only one possible explanation: I am having a secret twin brother. I don’t know what Emre will do next season … #shoutouttomymum #fakenews”
