Liverpool Predicted Line-up Against Everton – Klopp Sweats On Key Players Injuries

Liverpool take on Everton in the Merseyside derby at Goodison Park on Saturday.

The Reds will be in high spirits after crushing Manchester City at Anfield in the Champions League quarter-final first-leg tie mid-week.

The derby could however, not have come at a worse time for Liverpool.

Jurgen Klopp is facing a bit of an injury crisis as Joel Matip, Ragnar Klavan, Joe Gomez, Adam Lallana are all out.

Nathaniel Clyne is still working towards full match fitness.

The major concern for Klopp however, is over whether Mohamed Salah and Emre Can will recover in time from their respective injuries.

Defence

Klopp will be forced to start Dejan Lovren alongside Virgil Van Dijk in defence as Joel Matip, Ragnar Klavan and Joe Gomez are all injured in defence.

Andrew Robertson could be given a rest against the Toffees after a brilliant display in the Champions League mid-week if the manager decides to rotate the squad.

This could see Moreno and Alexander-Arnold start as full-backs.

Midfield

Emre Can has been ruled out until the end of the season according to the Mirror.

Klopp has however, yet to confirm whether the midfielder of Turkish origin is actually out.

The German manager did claim Can was nearing a return ahead of the Manchester City clash on Wednesday so his current status is not entirely clear just yet.

The 24-year-old has not featured since picking up his back injury against Watford before the international break.

Klopp could therefore be forced to start James Milner, Jordan Henderson and Gini Wijnaldum in midfield.

Attack

Klopp faces another major injury worry as Mohamed Salah is not certain to start after coming off injured against Manchester City. Alex Oxlade Chamberlain could replace Salah if he is not match fit.

Luckily Firmino and Sadio Mane are available and likely to get the nod.
