Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has issued an update regarding Emre Can’s injury situation.
The 24-year-old is unlikely to feature against Manchester City this weekend after picking up a back injury.
Can was sidelined the first leg of the UEFA Champions League tie and last weekend’s Merseyside Derby. The Germany international may have already played his last game for Liverpool with just three-months remaining on his contract.
“That is not in the best place. [He is receiving] treatment and we’re still hoping it will be a little bit quicker than maybe we thought in the first moment. But we cannot say anything else.” Klopp stated when asked about Emre Can’s injury by Liverpoolfc.com.

Can has been closely linked with a move to Serie A leaders Juventus in recent weeks. The combative midfielder could end up joining the Italian giants for free this summer.
Liverpool are back in action on Tuesday night when they take on Manchester City for the second leg of their Champions League tie. Can has provided five assists and scored three goals in 26 Premier League appearances this season
