Everton are plotting a move for Hannover 96 midfielder Marvin Bakalorz.
A source close to the player, revealed to Turkish-Football that the Toffees have rekindled interest in the German.
The Merseyside based outfit have been scouting the 28-year-old who will enter the last year on his contract at the end of the next transfer window.
Everton have been linked with several players as they plan ahead for next season. Strengthening the midfield is a priority over the summer and Bakalorz has been identified as a target.
Everton are 11 points clear of the relegation zone, sitting comfortably in 9th place but want to be more competitive next term.

The Toffees splashed out in January spending £40 million on Cenk Tosun and Theo Walcott combined taking the total transfer bill for the season to £181 million.
The Premier League outfit are expected to continue investing in the squad over the summer after a disappointing campaign. Only four other sides in the top-flight have let in more goals than the 58 they have conceded
Bakalorz is a versatile midfielder who can play in central and attacking positions but is most comfortable in a slightly deeper, defensive role averaging 1.5 tackles and one interception per-game this term.
The hard-working Hannover star is a first-team regular who has missed just five of the 29 Bundesliga games played this season.
In total Bakalorz has made 19 starts in the league and two German Cup appearances.
The tough-tackling, physical midfielder played an important role in Hannover’s promotion to top-tier football over the 2016-17 campaign.
Everton could face competition from Turkish giants Galatasaray and Leeds United who have both been linked with him.
