Liverpool Could Fend Off Euro Giants From Signing Star Player But Lose Him To Real Madrid Depending on Dani Ceballos Future

Liverpool midfielder Emre Can continues to face an uncertain future as his contract continues to run down.

Can will be a free agent at the end of the season unless he signs a new deal.

The midfielder of Turkish origin has yet to sign an extension and is free to talk with other clubs.

Juventus have made it abundantly clear that they want Can but have been growing frustrated with his indecision.

The Italian giants have been keeping their option open and have also expressed an interest in Real Madrid midfielder Dani Ceballos.

This is where things get interesting as Real Madrid also want Can according to Spanish outlet El Gol Digital.

Per the source, Real are preparing an offer for the Germany international.

The Spanish giants are expected to part ways with several fringe players in the summer and Can has been identified as a replacement to bolster the midfield.

The report claims that Dani Ceballos would be deemed surplus to requirements if they strike a deal for the midfielder.

This would play in the favor of Juve who would have their path to sign Ceballos cleared.

Juve could end up in a win-win situation. They could sign Can or end up with Ceballos if Real get the Liverpool man.

Liverpool could however, end up having the final say if they do get Can to sign an extension before the end of the season.

Can has not ruled out the possibility of staying on at Anfield, neither has his manager Jurgen Klopp.
