Besiktas star playmaker Oguzhan Ozyakup has made an interesting decision regarding his future.

The Turkey international has been linked with a move to Everton and Newcastle in recent weeks.

Ozyakup currently has under two-months remaining on his contract with Besiktas and could end up leaving for free.

However, in an interview with Fanatik, the midfielder stated that he will sign a new contract with Besiktas but may still end up leaving this summer. Ozyakup is keen to ensure he earns Besiktas a hefty fee if he is to leave the club.

“I will sign a new deal with Besiktas,” Ozyakup was quoted as saying by Fanatik.

“Even if I am to leave after, I will do so with my clubs best interests at heart.”

The 25-year-old is set to pen a new contract with Besiktas which will include a £10.5 million release clause.

Ozyakup made the move to Besiktas from Premier League giants Arsenal five years ago. The Turkey international has gone onto become a first-team regular at Besiktas.

The Netherlands born star is however keen on returning to the Premier League after a successful spell in Turkey.

Besiktas are back in action this week when they take on their biter Istanbul rivals Fenerbahce on Thursday evening.
