Tottenham receive injury boost as £17m star striker nears full fitness

Tottenham star striker Vincent Janssen is nearing full fitness after spending nearly four months on the sidelines.

The Netherland’s international is currently on a season-long loan at Turkish Super Lig giants Fenerbahce. However, the striker has struggled to find form and maintain his fitness in Istanbul.

Janssen suffered a toe injury back in December and hasn’t featured for Fenerbahce since. However, a source close to the Istanbul giants has revealed to Turkish-Football.com that Janssen is targetting a return this month.

Per the source, the striker has his sights set on the Antalayspor clash which will be played at the Sukru Sarcoglu stadium on Monday, April 23.

Janssen has been linked with a Tottenham exit in recent weeks. According to the Daily Mirror, Spurs are prepared to offload their star man for a cut-price fee this summer. The 24-year-old joined Tottenham from AZ Alkmaar for £17 million back in 2016.

Tottenham are back in action this weekend when they take on Brighton in the Premier League.
