Liverpool Prioritise £16m Wonderkid As Next Mo Salah, Tottenham Make ‘Concrete Offer’

Liverpool have made 18-year-old Trabzonspor wonderkid Abdulkadir Omur a transfer priority according to the Aksam newspaper.

Per the source, the Reds are preparing a move for the rising star after failing to land Real Madrid attacking midfielder Asensio.

Jurgen Klopp is reported to be an admirer of Omur who is seen as a long-term replacement for Mohamed Salah.

Trabzonspor are aware that they could struggle to keep hold of the highly rated youngster this summer and have set a £16m (€18m) valuation.

Former Trabzonspor president Muharrem Usta recently confirmed to Turkish-Football that he held talks with an unnamed Premier League side prior to his departure.

“A Premier League club sent over a club official to hold talks over Omur, we held negotiations in my Istanbul office,” he admitted.

Omur has a total of three goals and five assists in all competitions this season and has started his sides last nine league games.

The wonder-kid midfielder has a contract with Trabzonspor until 2022 and is rated as one of the most promising players in the league.

Arsenal star recently revealed an admiration for the 18-year-old: “I really like Trabzonspor duo Yusuf Yazici and Abdulkadir Omur, they are incredible talents.

Emre Sarigul of Turkish-Football included Omur in the Guardian newspaper ‘Next Generation 2016: 60 of the best young talents in world football’ list last year.
