Liverpool take on Roma in the Champions League semi-final first leg clash on Tuesday.

John Arne Riise is someone well qualified to speak about both clubs having played for both teams during his career.

The ex Liverpool star won the 2005 Champions League with the Merseyside based outfit and spent three years at Roma.

Riise was full of praise for the ‘devastating’ Mohamed Salah and described the Liverpool star as having incredible movement.

Salah like Riise has also played for both clubs, joining the Reds from Roma over the summer.

“You cannot even leave half a meter of space for him,” Riise told Italian daily Leggo.

“Honestly I didn’t think he was this devastating, but he is now in an incredible moment.

“On his side, however, there will be Kolarov, in my opinion, one of the best full-backs in the world, but he needs to be more aggressive.”

High praise for Aleksandar Kolarov! another player who will be familiar with Liverpool.

Cengiz Under was brought into replace Salah and has even been nicknamed the new Mo after his recent form.

The Turkey international has scored seven goals and provided two assists in all competitions this season.

The 20-year-old provided the assist that knocked Barcelona out of the Champions League, setting up Manolas with the third goal in the 3-0 victory in the quarter-final second leg.

Under has been involved in two goals in three Champions League games.
