Arsenal star playmaker Mesut Ozil has joined a raft of former Gunners stars to pay tribute to Arsene Wenger.
The French tactician released a statement on Saturday revealing that he will step down as Arsenal manager after 22-years in charge.
Ozil took to social media to thank Wenger for his contribution to Arsenal and football as a whole. The 29-year-old went on to state that he is grateful to have worked under Wenger.
“Passion, respect and success… that is what Arsene Wenger is all about. Thank you for what you’ve done for us at Arsenal and the football world.
“I’m grateful for everything you’ve taught me and all the trust you’ve put in me no matter how difficult the situation was. Merci Boss!”
