Emre Can Could Stay At Liverpool Afterall After Shock Development, Juventus Could Have £4.3m Per-Year Deal Turned Down

Emre Can appeared dead set on leaving Anfield just a few weeks ago but it appears there has been a development in the ongoing contract saga.

Can has just a few months remaining on his current deal and will be a free agent at the end of the season unless he signs an extension.

Juventus made it public that they want the 24-year-old but the Italian giants have been growing frustrated recently.

The reigning Serie A champions reportedly gave Can an ultimatum to respond to their £4.3m per-season, four-year contract offer but that expired last week.

It turns out the midfielder of Turkish origin has had a bit of a U-turn.

Can is reported to be in talks with Liverpool to discuss a renewed contract, according to Mootaz Chehade at Lebanese daily newspaper Al-Mustaqbal.

The Reds received another boost as it turns out the powerful midfielder could return in time for the Champions League final in Kiev – if they make it past Roma.

Liverpool won the semi-final first-leg tie against the Giallorossi by a 5-2 scoreline at Anfield.

Can has been out of action with a back injury since the 5-0 win over Watford before the international break.
