Arsenal legend Martin Keown has slammed Mesut Ozil for his performance against Atletico Madrid on Thursday evening.
Ozil played the full 90 minutes during his sides 1-0 loss in the Europa League semi-final which saw the Gunners eliminated from the cup competition.
The Europa League was Arsenal’s last chance of silverware and was their only remaining route to playing UEFA Champions League football next season.
Keown was furious with the Gunners performance on the night and did not hold back when analyzing Mesut Ozil.
The former Arsenal defender stated that Ozil was “not fit to wear the shirt” and did not put in a “proper performance”.

“I bet he doesn’t play again this season. He will have some emotional breakdown and won’t be able to play at the weekend.
“He wasn’t fit to wear the shirt for me tonight, and I have seen this a lot this season.”
