Arsenal star Mesut Ozil, Everton striker Cenk Tosun and Manchester City midfielder Ilkay Gundogan all turned up to offer Erdogan a shirt and greet the president.

All three players were born in Germany but are also Turkish citizens.

Ozil and Gundogan play for Germany at international level while Tosun represents Turkey.

Later taking to Instagram, Arsenal star Ozil uploaded his own personal snap of the trio looking very suave – and just check out Gundogan’s moustache.

Ozil captioned the shot: ‘The (Premier) League of Extraordinary Gentlemen.’

Gundogan and Ozil were both born in Gelsenkirchen, Germany to a Turkish family while Tosun was born in Wetzlar, Germany.

Tosun previously played in Turkey for Besiktas, while Ozil and Gundogan regularly visit the country.

Ozil is engaged to former Miss World Turkey, Amine Gulse while Gundogan has a number of construction and charity projects in his families hometown of Balikesir.

There are actually four players of Turkish origin in the Premier League but Emre Can is currently in Germany recovering from injury.
