Arsenal star playmaker Mesut Ozil penned a big-money contract extension with the north London based club earlier this season.
However, according to a report from the Sun on Sunday, the Germany international will demand crunch talks if Mikel Arteta is appointed as Gunners boss.
Arsenal are on the lookout for an Arsene Wenger replacement this summer after opting to part company with the French tactician.
Max Allegri and Luis Enrique were the initial frontrunners for the job however former Arsenal player Mikel Arteta has emerged as the favourite.
Per the source, Ozil is not keen on Arteta’s appointment and will demand talks with the club if he is appointed. Furthermore, the report states that David Ospina, Nacho Monreal and Santi Cazorla have also expressed their doubts regarding Arteta.
Ozil has been included in Joachim Low’s provisional Germany national team squad and is expected to travel to the 2018 World Cup in Germany.
