£35m Arsenal target Caglar Soyuncu makes huge demand before Premier League move

Arsenal target Caglar Soyuncu has made a huge demand following speculation linking him with a Premier League move.

The Turkey international defender has been linked with a Freiburg exit after impressing in the Bundesliga this season.

Freiburg are understood to be holding out for a £35 million bid if they are to part company with their star centre-back.

However, Soyuncu wants assurances that he will be a regular starter if he is to move to the Premier League.

“For me, it must be a team where I can play first,” Soyuncu told Ajansspor.

“We will evaluate my chances of playing. It’s best to wait. The English league is a very good league. Of course I have a goal to play in top clubs.

“Freiburg is the first step. It has been very good for two years. I had to improve. I have gained more experience but still have shortcomings.

“A decision will be made in the interests of all of us.”

Caglar Soyuncu former side Altinordu remain convinced that the Turkish international will make a move to the Premier League over the summer.

Sources close to Altinordu revealed to Turkish-Football.com that they are confident Soyuncu will make a Premier League move and that Arsenal remains his most likely destination.

Soyuncu made 30 appearances for Freiburg this season. The 21-year-old has also been called out to Mircea Lucescu’s Turkey national team squad which will take on Iran in an international friendly clash this weekend.
