Arsenal are reported to be interested in a move for Roma starlet Cengiz Under according to reports in Italy.
Tuttomercato recently reported that the Gunners made a £26 million offer for Under.
Per the source, the Giallorossi rejected the bid and are holding out for £43.8 million.
Additionally, Monaco made an offer for the Turkey international worth £30.7 million.
Under opened up about his future in an interview with beIN Turkey.
“Staying at Roma would be the best decision,” Under said.
“I reached the Champions League semi-finals and had a great season but still have a lot more to achieve here.”
Under joined the Serie A outfit from Basaksehir last summer on a £13 million move – a record for a Turkish international leaving the Super Lig.
The 20-year-old rose through the youth ranks of Altinordu alongside Arsenal target Caglar Soyuncu before moving to Basaksehir.
The Roma wonderkid wrapped up his first season scoring nine times and providing two assists in all competitions.
Under played his first Champions League game this season, scoring the away goal that resulted in his side knocking Shakhtar out of the Last 16.
The rising star went onto provide the assist that knocked out Barcelona from the quarter-finals.
Liverpool eventually knocked Roma out of the competition in the semi-finals.
