Freiburg defender Caglar Soyuncu has been closely linked with a move to Arsenal.
A source close to the player revealed to Turkish-Football that Arsenal are expected to send club officials to keep tabs on the defender over his next international games against Iran, Tunisia and Russia.
The 22-year-old has been called up to the Turkey national side and is likely to start against Iran on Monday at the Basaksehir Fatih Terim Stadium.
Soyuncu is keen on a move to the Premier League or La Liga after establishing himself for the past two seasons in the Bundesliga.
Turkish-Football quoted Soyuncu as saying: “One of the biggest clubs in England, Arsenal are interested but it is not a done deal yet.
“I am going to play the international games first and then we will make a decision, I will hold further talks afterwards.”
Despite his age the rising star has managed to establish himself as a first-choice pick for Turkey as well as Freiburg.

The defender managed to establish himself as a first-team regular at Freiburg.
The Turkey international scored one goal in 30 appearances for Freiburg in all competitions this season.
Turkey take on Iran on Monday 28 May followed by a trip to Switzerland to face Tunisia on 1 June and finally Russia on 5 June, in Russia.
