Leicester City Make £20m Offer For Turkish Wonderkid Also On Tottenham Radar

Leicester City have become the latest side to enter the race for Trabzonspor wonder kid Abulkadir Omur.

Haberturk report that the Foxes recently made Trabzonspor an enquiry and have since stepped up efforts to sign the 19-year-old.

Per the source, Leicester have made a £20 million offer for the wonder kid.

Despite his age Omur is a first-choice star for Trabzonspor scoring three goals and providing six assists in 29 games this campaign.

Leicester City could face stiff competition from Tottenham who have been closely linked with the rising star.

Former Trabzonspor president Muharrem Usta recently confirmed to Turkish-Football that talks with an unnamed Premier League side over Omur prior to his departure.

“A Premier League club sent over a club official to hold talks over Omur, we held negotiations in my Istanbul office,” he admitted.

Turkish journalist Erdal Hos, who has close tied to Trabzonspor, meanwhile, revealed on Turkish TV Channel TVNet that Spurs have made a bid: “There is a concrete offer.”

There have not been any developments as far as Tottenham are concerned but Omur remains on their radar.

The rising has a contract with Trabzonspor until 2022 and is rated as one of the most promising players in the league.

Emre Sarigul of Turkish-Football included Omur in the Guardian newspaper ‘Next Generation 2016: 60 of the best young talents in world football’ list last year.
