Shakhtar Donetsk midfielder Fred is expected to complete his move to Manchester United this week according to the BBC.
Per the source, the 25-year-old is expected to have his medical at United before completing his switch to Old Trafford for a reported £52m.
Fred was brought to Shakhtar in 2013 under the stewardship of current Turkey boss Mircea Lucescu.
The Turkey boss praised Fred for completing the move to United and revealed he is happy for him.
The Romanian manager also stated that he transformed Fred into a player capable of playing a more defensive role in midfield.

“I’m really pleased Fred has completed his transfer to Manchester United, I am proud of him,” Lucescu was quoted as saying by Turkish-Football at his press conference ahead of the Russia game.
“When I signed him at Shakhtar, Taison and Bernard were playing in his position.
“I transformed his position, giving him a more defensive role.”
Fred was given a more offensive freedom under the management of Paulo Fonseca.
“Fonseca allows me to play both offensively and defensively, and my main task is to change the direction of attacking moves,” he previously said.
“Under Lucescu, forwards and full-backs were responsible for that, but now I am the conductor. Everything had changed completely. The coach trusts me and sees qualities that went unnoticed by Lucescu.”
Lucescu managed Shakhtar from 2004 up until 2016, after a brief stint at Zenit he took charge of Turkey in 2017.
Turkey take on Russia in the third game of the international break.
The Crescent-Star beat Iran 2-1 and were then held to a 2-2 draw against Tunisia.
Lucescu’s side will not compete in the World Cup but are undefeated in 2018.
