Liverpool scouts were positively impressed by Yunus Malli’s performance during Turkey’s clash with Russia on Monday evening.

The Turkish national team needed a second-half strike from the Wolfsburg star to cancel out Samedov’s first-half goal. The game which was played at the VEB Arena in Moscow ended 1-1 draw.

A source close to the Turkish FA revealed to Turkish-Football.com that scouts from Liverpool and Arsenal were present at the game with the primary objective of monitoring Caglar Soyuncu.

However, Malli’s second-half performance caught the attention of the visiting scouts.

Mallis agent Ilhan Malli – his uncle – was also present during the friendly encounter on Monday.

Liverpool are looking to bolster their attacking options this summer and have already been linked with a move for Lyon star Nabil Fekir.
