Galatasaray winger Garry Rodrigues has been closely linked with a move to Newcastle United this summer.
The Aksam newspaper reported that Newcastle officials are in talks with Galatasaray over a summer deal to sign Rodrigues.
Per the source, Galatasaray are only willing to sell their star man for the right price and have set a €20 million valuation on the 27-year-old.
The report also states that Newcastle United are trying to negotiate a lower price but Galatasaray are refusing to budge as his previous club PAOK stand to make 20 percent of the deal.
The Netherlands born player has revealed that he wants to stay on at Galatasaray for at least another season.
“I do not want to leave, I am focused on the Champions League,” Rodrigues said when asked about Newcastle interest.
“I am at a championship winning side and think want to compete in the Champions League under the management of Fatih Terim.”
Rodrigues wants to partake in the Champions League campaign and defend the title before considering his long-term future.
The Lions meanwhile may be forced to consider offers as they face Financial Fair Play pressure and could have to sell players in order to avoid sanctions.
Rodrigues provided 11 assists and nine goals in 33 appearances for the Istanbul based outfit this season.
