Watford FC have set their sights on Besiktas’ Croatia international centre-back Domagoj Vida.
Vida only joined the Black Eagles during the previous transfer window in January but has struggled to settle in with Besiktas. Vida saw red during Besiktas’ defeat to Bayern Munich in the UEFA Champions League and has failed to impress in the league.
According to the Turkish outlet Fanatik, Watford are readying an offer for the 29-year-old. Per the source the Premier League side have set aside €4 million for Vida this summer.
Vida is set to feature in this summer’s World Cup after being included in Zlatko Dalic’s Croatia national team squad.

The powerful defender has four-years remaining on his contract with Besiktas. Vida scored one goal in 13 Turkish Super Lig appearances for the Istanbul Giants this season.
Vida can also be deployed at left back, which is where he was played on Sunday during Croatia’s international friendly against Brazil.
