Everton midfielder Davy Klaassen is on the verge of joining Super Lig outfit Besiktas according to reports in Turkey.

A Spor report that the Netherlands international is set to join the Black Eagles on a two-year loan.

Per the source, the Toffees would receive a €1.5m per-season loan fee with an option to buy at the end of the loan for a fee of €20 million.

The Turkish sports channel claim that the deal is 99 percent complete and it is only a matter of time now before it goes through.

The report also claims that Cenk Tosun also advised the midfielder to make the move.

Turkish-Football recently spoke to sources at Besiktas who revealed the club have had a long-term interest in the midfielder.

The Black Eagles would not confirm whether a deal is in place with the Everton man when we asked.

The Istanbul are planning changes to their ageing midfield over the summer and Klaassen is on the shortlist.

Despite the latest reports Klaassen did state he wants to stay at Everton earlier this week despite his lack of playing time this season.

“My overall experience at Everton has been good. The club is excellent and the people are very nice,” Klaassen told the Liverpool Echo.

“It is an ambitious club and I 100 per cent enjoy being here. I feel at home and am determined to play more for the team.”

Klaassen joined Everton on a £23.6m move back but struggled for playing time under the stewardship of Sam Allardyce.
