Arsenal Set For Talks As Club Director Comolli Travels To England To Wrap Up Transfer To Super Lig Giants

Arsenal goalkeeper David Ospina has been closely linked with a move to Fenerbahce for the past few seasons.

The Yellow Canaries have been linked with Ospina on several occasions but former Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger managed to convince the Colombia international to remain.

The Istanbul giants are back in the race for Ospina.

Turkish-Football understands that recently appointed sporting director Damien Comolli is set to hold talks with Arsenal.

Fenerbahce have made signing a new goalkeeper a priority over the summer.

Comolli is set to travel to England and France over the next few days to hold talks with several clubs over players on his shortlist.

The 29-year-old has 12 months remaining on his contract but has yet to be offered an extension.

Ospina made 21 appearances this season, playing second-fiddle to Petr Cech in the Premier League but enjoying a first-team role in cup competitions.

Football.London report that the Colombian international is likely to leave this summer to get regular first-team football.

Fenerbahce would be willing to offer a first-choice spot and the Super Lig outfit will be competing in the Champions League this season.

Ospina is currently in Russia with the Colombia team ahead of the 2018 World Cup.
