Liverpool assistant manager Zeljko Buvac is a step closer to becoming Fenerbahce’s next manager according to the latest reports.
The Turkish outlet Fanatik has claimed that Fenerbahce’s newly appointed director of football Damien Comolli has held talks Buvac.
Per the source, Comolli has “agreed” personal terms with Jurgen Klopp’s long-term assistant.
However, Fenerbahce are yet to part company with their current manager Aykut Kocaman.
Buvac unexpectedly left Liverpool at the end of April and there is still no official word from the Reds over whether he will be returning or not.

The appointment could be seen as risky seeing that Buvac – who worked alongside Liverpool boss Klopp for 17 years – has only managed German minnows SC Neukirchen back in 2001.
However, Klopp famously referred to Buvac as “the brain” while fellow coach Peter Krawietz has described the Bosnian as “the Eye”.
Fenerbahce will participate in the URFA Champions league this season after finishing the Turkish Super Lig as runners-up.
