“Forgot this guy existed” – Tottenham fans roast star striker linked with Fenerbahce move on social media

Tottenham star striker Vincent Janssen spent the 2017-18 season on loan with Turkish Super Lig giants Fenerbahce.

Despite missing the majority of the season with a toe injury, the Netherlands international helped his side secure a second-place finish in the league.

Janssen turned 24 on Friday and Tottenham took to social media to wish their striker a happy birthday.

Following the tweet, the majority of Tottenham fans took the opportunity to roast their £17 million signing.

Janssen is expected to leave Tottenham this summer after falling out of favour with manager Mauricio Pochettino.

Turkish outlet A Spor claim that Fenerbahce are in talks with Tottenham over another loan deal.

The 24-year-old was left out of Spurs’ Champions League squad last summer and has having fallen behind Harry Kane, Fernando Llorente and Heung-Min Son in the pecking order

Fenerbahce booked their place in next season’s UEFA Champions League after finishing the Turkish Super Lig as runners-up.

Janssen provided four assists and scored five goals in 19 appearances for Fenerbahce this season.
