Watford are set to make an offer for Fenerbahce central midfielder Josef de Souza according to reports in Turkey.

Sports newspaper Fotomac report that the Premier League outfit are set to make a €9 million offer for the Brazilian.

Per the source, the Yellow Canaries have given the green light for Souza to leave over the summer.

Watford are set to hold talks with Fenerbahce representatives by the end of the week.

The Istanbul based outfit are planning an overhaul of the squad following Ali Koc being elected club president.

West Brom were also linked with a move for the 29-year-old back in January but he does not want to leave the Super Lig for the Championship.

Fenerbahce finished the league campaign as runners-up, booking a place in the Champions League playoff round.

De Souza racked up two assists and four goals in 41 appearances in all competitions for Fenerbahce this season.

The midfielder has 12 months remaining on his contract but has yet to be offered a contract extension.

The Yellow Canaries signed Souza on a £7.2m move from Sao Paulo in 2015.

Sozua has three caps for Brazil under his belt but did not make the 2018 World Cup squad.
