“Body language of a dead frog. It’s pathetic” – Arsenal star Mesut Ozil slammed by another former Germany international

Yet another Germany international has taken to social media to slam Mesut Ozil.

The 29-year-old has been under fire following Germany’s 1-0 defeat to Mexico over the weekend.

Ozil appears to be singled out by several former Germany international’s including Stefan Effenberg and Lothar Matthaus.

Mario Basler has also chimed in on Mesut Ozil’s performance in the World Cup.

“He’s over-rated as a footballer. I have to say it over and over again – he has the body language of a dead frog. It’s pathetic,” Basler stated live on TV, his words were applauded by the live audience.

Basler was capped 30 times for the Germany national but does not have a World Cup trophy to his name. Ozil played a key role in Germany’s World Cup success back in 2014 in Brazil.

Germany take on Sweden this weekend as they look to return to winning ways.

Joachim Low’s side will be eliminated from the competition if they suffer a defeat on Saturday.

Ozil has scored 23 goals in 91 international caps for Germany.
