Liverpool wonderkid Rhian Brewster has been closely linked with an Anfield exit.
The Sun reported yesterday that Arsenal and Tottenham expressed an interest in snapping Brewster up on a professional team.
The forward is set to sign a pro deal and the London based sides reportedly entered the race for the 18-year-old.
Turkish-Football sources can confirm that he will not be joining Arsenal or Tottenham. Brewster is highly likely to stay at Liverpool and sign a five-year deal.
Liverpool made the offer two months ago but the youngster wanted assurances of first-team football before putting pen to paper.
Spurs and the Gunners did approach the 18-year-old but he will be staying at Anfield.
Jurgen Klopp has plans for the rising star and plans to make use of him next season.
Klopp wrote a heartwarming letter with a special mention reserved for Brewster for the Football Writers Player of the Year Awards.
The Reds boss wrote the following: “Rhian Brewster is just 18 years old. During the past 12 months Rhian has established himself as one of the most exciting prospects in English football. He has grown and risen in status at Liverpool. He won the world cup for your country at his age level — he won the golden boot at that very same tournament. He made his family — his friends — his club — and his country proud in doing what he did on the football pitch.
Klopp promoted Brewster to the first-team squad earlier this season but he missed much of the season due to injury.
The Reds starlet has a Turkish mother and is eligible to play for Turkey at international level.
Brewster is currently a star player in the England international youth setup.
