Man United Star Makes Shock Decision, Set To Sign Two-Year Deal Amid Reports Of Super Lig Move

Fellaini Besiktas

Marouane Fellaini has been closely linked with a Manchester United exit this summer after reaching the end of his contract.

Fellaini will be a free agent on 1 July and did recently comment on his future setting the date when all will be revealed.

“I know where I’m going to play next year and that does not affect my performance at World Cup,” Fellaini said on Tuesday.

“The contract has been signed and I’m going to announce it within a few days.

“Like I said, I will soon say where I will play next season.” Asked if he will announce it on July 1, Fellaini replied: “Yes.”

Considering he will be out of contract it was assumed he would be leading Old Trafford.

Belgium football reporter for the HLN Kristof Terreur meanwhile claims Fellaini is close to agreeing a two-year deal with the club.

The latest developments will come as a blow to Super Lig giants Besiktas who were keen on snapping the Belgium international up on a free transfer.

Turkish-Football reported the Black Eagles first holding talks with Fellaini’s representatives last November.

The Istanbul based side were willing to offer the midfielder a long-term offer on lucrative terms.

Arsenal had also been closely linked with the 29-year-old who is currently on international duty with Belgium at the World Cup.
