Germany boss Joachim Low has heaped praise on Mesut Ozil for the Arsenal playmaker’s response to being dropped.
Ozil was an unused substitute for Germany during their 2-1 win over Sweden.
However, Joachim Low has surprisingly praised Ozil for his “great reaction” to being dropped from the starting eleven.
Ozil was dropped after Germany’s surprise 2-0 defeat to Mexico in the opening week. The reigning World Cup champions needed a last-gasp wondergoal from Toni Kroos to remain in the competition against Sweden.
Germany take on South Korea today as they look to secure their place in the knockout rounds. Korea can also qualify to the next round with a shock win over Joachim Low’s side.
Ozil could find himself back in Low’s starting eleven following the managers latest comments.

“After the match against Sweden, Ozil showed a great reaction in training, as I expected from all who didn’t play,” Low was quoted as saying by Goal.
Ozil has scored 23 goals in 91 appearances for the Germany national team. The 29-year-old recently recovered from a back injury he picked up while playing for Arsenal.
