Schalke star Max Meyer will leave the Bundesliga outfit at the end of the month as a free agent.
BILD [as reported by Getfootballnewsgermany] report that Meyer has been offered to several clubs including Liverpool, Arsenal, Fenerbahce, Atletico Madrid and Marseille by his agent Roger Wittmann.
Per the source, Meyer is demanding up to €5 million-per-season which has proved to be a stumbling block.
Arsenal, Liverpool, Atleti and Fenerbahce are not interested in matching the wage demands.
The report claims that Marseille are in talks with Meyer and are currently favorites to sign the 22-year-old.
Turkish-Football understands that Fenerbahce want to negotiate a lower wage structure but would be prepared to include a sign-on fee.
The Istanbul based outfit are under pressure from FFP but are planning to offload several players in a squad overhaul which would reduce the wage bill.
The midfielder missed out on being called up to the Germany squad for the World Cup after a disappointing season.
Meyer scored just one goal and provided a single assist in 28 appearances for Schalke in all competitions over the 2017-18 campaign.
