Fenerbahce have emerged as frontrunners in the race to sign Jack Wilshere this summer after the England international left Arsenal.
The 26-year-old put an end to a 17-year association with the Gunners on Sunday after his contract with the club expired.
Wilshere decided to leave Arsenal after newly appointed manager Unai Emery refused to give him first-team assurances.
According to ESPN journalist Eren Sarigul, negotiations between Fenerbahce officials and Jack Wilshere’s representatives have reached an “advanced” stage.
Per the source, Fenerbahce’s newly appointed director of football Damien Comolli is leading negotiations and has tabled an offer in the region of €4 million per season.

The report goes onto state that Fenerbahce are trying to lure Wilshere to Istanbul with a sizable signing-on-fee too.
However, it is still unclear whether Wilshere is willing to move to Istanbul.
Wilshere provided seven assists and scored two goals in 40 appearances for Arsenal in all competitions last season.
