Club President Sent Private Jet To Glasgow Amid Reports Of Talks With Rangers

Turkish newspaper Milliyet reported yesterday that Fenerbahce officials traveled to Scotland for talks with Rangers over Alfredo Morelos.

Per the source, the Yellow Canaries newly appointed director of football Damien Comolli is leading negotiations.

It turns out that club president Ali Koc did send one of his private jets to Scotland.

Turkish-Football reached out to Fenerbahce regarding the latest reports and while a source did reveal the private jet traveled to Glasgow followed by London the nature of the trip was not revealed.

Comolli did travel onboard the flight.

Fenerbahce are expected to complete transfer business early this transfer window ahead of the Champions League play-off round.

The Istanbul based outfit are in the midst of an overhaul following Koc being elected club president.

The Yellow Canaries announced Phillip Cocu as their new manager last week but have yet to make a transfer.

Morelos finished last season as Rangers top goalscorer with 18 goals in his debut campaign following his move from Helsinki.

Fenerbahce currently have just one first-team striker – Roberto Soldado – after Vincent Janssen returned to Tottenham after his loan deal ended and the sale of Fernandao.
