Besiktas have made signing a striker over the transfer window a priority.
The Black Eagles have struggled in the striker department since selling Cenk Tosun to Everton, failing to find a replacement.
Besiktas president Fikret Orman has made it clear a striker will be signed this summer.
“We will sign a striker, if we sell Negredo we will have to also sign another forward,” Orman said.
A source close to Besiktas has revealed to Turkish-Football that Daniel Sturridge is on the shortlist.
The Super Lig outfit do not, however, want to pay a transfer fee for the England striker.
Instead, they have proposed a loan deal until the end of the season, covering his wages.
Liverpool would be free up some of the wage bill in the process.
The Reds would, however, forgo a transfer fee if he were to leave on a loan deal as Sturridge has just 12 months remaining on his contract.
Unless of course, he returns to form at Besiktas and Liverpool renew his deal before he is made a free agent.

Liverpool initially set a £15m valuation for Sturridge who has been transfer listed but the Premier League club have been unable to find any buyers willing to match their asking price according to Goal.
The Echo reports that it is difficult seeing a way back for Sturridge and that the Premier League club are open to offers.
