Liverpool Set To Hold ‘Last Round’ Talks With Super Lig Giants Over Divock Origi Transfer

Galatasaray are set to hold talks with Liverpool over the transfer of Divock Origi according to the Takvim newspaper.

Per the source, the Lions are keen on signing the 23-year-old on a permanent deal.

The report describes the negotiations as being the ‘last round’ of talks for Origi.

The report claims that Liverpool are open to Origi leaving for the right price.

The Lions face competition from Super Lig rivals Besiktas for Origi.

Turkish-Football recently reported that the Besiktas made an enquiry for the Belgium striker and that club President Fikret Orman held talks with Origi’s representatives in London last month.

There appears to be some confusion over the future of Origi.

The 23-year-old recently told the official Liverpool website that he is happy to be back at the club following his loan move to Wolfsburg.

He told Liverpoolfc.com: “I am happy to be back. It feels a bit like I am familiar with everything and I never left, so it was easier for me to integrate back into the group. I’m very happy.”

ESPN claim that Origi will get the chance to fight for his place in the team over the per-season.

The striker could get a chance to try and win over Jurgen Klopp but even if he were to stay on it he is unlikely to be more than a fringe player in the squad.

Should Danny Ings and Daniel Sturridge leave over the summer it could however, give Origi a place in the pecking order.
