Everton could face competition for Barcelona defender Yerry Mina after Galatasaray manager Fatih Terim confirmed interest in the Colombia international.
Terim said on Instagram TV that Mina impressed him at the World Cup and then went onto say he is a target.
“One of the players I really liked at the World Cup was Yerry Mina and to be honest he is a target, it is true we are interested,” Terim said.
Everton are reported to be working on a £21 million deal for the 23-year-old according to the Mirror.
Per the source, the Toffees made an enquiry last week and have now gone back to Barcelona in an attempt to get the deal completed.
Galatasaray would not be able to match Everton’s bid, the Lions would have to push for a loan deal due to pressure from Financial Fair Play to curb spending.
The Super Lig champions would be able to offer Champions League group stage football.
It remains to be seen whether Barca want to sell or loan out Mina.
The defender’s agent – who is also his uncle – said Barcelona have yet to make a final decision regarding their plans for Mina.

“It is not true that Yerry has signed for Everton,” Yair Mina explained to Mundo Deportivo, as cited by the Liverpool Echo.
“Yerry has many teams who hold an interest in him but before we can think about that, we need to know what Barcelona plan to do.
“When we hear from the club, we will make a decision.”
Mina played a starring role for Colombia at the World Cup becoming the first defender to score in his first three games.
