Fenerbahce have turned down the opportunity to sign West Ham United star striker Andy Carroll.
The England international could be on his way out of the London stadium following a disappointing season with the Hammers.
According to the Turkish outlet Fanatik, West Ham United have offered Carroll to Turkish Super Lig giants Fenerbahce for free.
The news will come as a surprise to Hammers fans seeing that the striker still has a year remaining on his contract.
Per the source, the London based club are keen to free up their wage budget by offloading Carroll.
However, Fenerbahce’s newly appointed director of Football Damien Comolli has poured cold water on West Ham’s offer. Comolli is concerned about the England international’s fitness.
According to SkySports, Carroll will be ruled out for a further three-months due to an injury.

Carroll missed a total of 13 Premier League games last season due to injury and was not selected in Gareth Southgate’s England national team which finished fourth in the 2018 World Cup.
The 29-year-old made the move to West Ham from Liverpool for £15 million back in 2013. Carroll provided one assist and scored just three goals in 18 appearances for the Hammers last term.
