23-year-old Chelsea defender linked with summer move to Euro Giants

Kurt Zouma

Fenerbahce have turned their attention towards Chelsea centre-back Kurt Zouma.

The Yellow Canaries have been busy during the summer transfer window so far. Newly appointed manager Phillip Cocu has made the signing of a new defender a top priority.

According to the Turkish outlet Fanatik, Chelsea’s out-of-favour centre-back Zouma is at the top of Fenerbahce’s transfer shortlist.

Per the source, the Yellow Canaries believe Chelsea will be willing to loan the France international out this season. Zouma also spent last season out on loan with Stoke City.

Fanatik go onto state that Fenerbahce officials believe they are leading the race to sign Zouma on loan due to Damien Comolli’s close ties with the Premier League clubs.

Comolli was appointed as director of football at Fenerbahce following the election of Ali Koc as club President.

Zouma made a total of 34 Premier League appearances for Stoke City last season but was unable to steer them clear of relegation.
