Watford FC have stepped up their interest in Fenerbahce star midifelder Josef de Souza.
The Brazilian midifelder has been linked with a move to the Premier League for over a year and came close to a move to West Brom back in January.
According to the Turkish outlet Takvim, Watford have tabled a fresh bid for the 29-year-old.
Per the source, newly appointed Fenerbahce manager Philipe Coco is keen to keep hold of De Souza this season. However, the Istanbul based club are being closely monitored by UEFA for financial fair play and may need to offload players in order to make fresh transfers.

Furthermore, De Souza has entered the final year of his contract and Fenerbahce are at risk of losing the Brazil international for free next summer.
De Souza provided two assists and scored four goals in 41 appearances for Fenerbahce in all competitions last season.
Watford will take on Brighton in their opening game of the 2018/19 Premier League season on August 11.
