Arsenal have joined the race to sign Besiktas star centre-back Domagoj Vida.
The 29-year-old has been closely linked with a move to the Premier League after several outstanding performances during the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
Vida helped Croatia reach the final where they were defeated by France.
According to the daily Turkish paper Milliyet, Arsenal have made an approach for the powerful defender.
Per the source, the Gunners have tabled an offer for Vida who is also being pursued by Liverpool, Everton and West Ham United.
The report goes onto state that Besiktas President Fikret Orman is prepared to sell Vida this summer and has placed a €30 million price-tag on the star defender.
We recently reported that Liverpool officials have already travelled to Istanbul to hold face-to-face talks with Besiktas for Vida.
Besiktas signed Vida on a free transfer in January after his contract with Dinamo Kiev expired.
The 29-year-old failed to nail down a starting place in Senol Gunes’ side during his first six months at the club. Vida still has four years remaining on his contract with the Black Eagles.
