Swansea Striker Very Close To Summer Exit After Reaching Agreement In Principle With Super Lig Giants

Swansea City striker Andre Ayew is edging closer to a summer exit on loan to Fenerbahce a source close to the Super Lig outfit revealed to Turkish-Football.

Ayew has reached an agreement in principle with the Yellow Canaries.

The Turkish side sent club officials to London to wrap up talks with Ayew’s representatives and Swansea.

The Istanbul based outfit are confident they will complete the move but have yet to agree whether they will pay all of his wages and strike a deal over a loan fee.

Fenerbahce are of the view that a loan move is a win-win situation for both clubs involved and Ayew.

The player wants first-tier football next season and will get the chance to play Champions League – or Europa League, depending on the playoff results.

The Swans will be able to keep Ayew on their books while they push for promotion.

The striker would still have two-years remaining on his contract next summer and potentially Premier League football on the cards.

Fenerbahce are desperate to sign a striker before the Champions League 3rd Round playoff clash against Benfica.

The Yellow Canaries do not currently have a fit first-team forward available.

After the end of Vincent Janssen’s loan stay and the sale of Fernandao, Roberto Soldado remains the only available first-team forward on the books.

Soldado is currently out injured. Fenerbahce have made signing two forwards before the end of the summer a priority.

Ayew returned to the Swans from West Ham for a club-record £20.5m [Transfermarket] fee in January but did not score a goal as the Welsh giants were relegated to the Championship.
