Besiktas have stepped up efforts to find a replacement for Fabri who will be joining Fulham on a permanent deal over the next few days.
Turkish-Football sources report there are two names on the Black Eagles shortlist, Arsenal keeper David Ospina and Bursaspor stopper Harun Tekin.
Ospina is the preferred name on the list but it will all come down to money.
Besiktas have a deal in principle with the 29-year-old keeper and have been informed by the Colombia international’s representatives that Arsenal have given him the green light to leave.
Ospina has fallen down the pecking order at Arsenal following the signing of Bernd Leno from Bayern Leverkusen over the summer.
The Colombian stopper could be relegated to fourth-choice keeper should Arsenal complete the transfer of Yann Sommer who they are linked with according to The Sun.
The Black Eagles do not however, want to pay the Gunners a transfer fee.
The 29-year-old does have another 12 months remaining on his contract and the Gunners do not appear to have any intentions of offering an extension.
Alternatively, Besiktas are willing to loan Ospina, cover part of his wages, pay a loan fee and sign him on a free transfer next summer.
The Istanbul giants are working on reducing their wage bill and have sold Dusko Tosic, Mitrovic and Fabri already this summer.
The Black Eagles would be willing to pay Ospina in the region of €2m per-season on a three to four-year deal.
Ospina has yet to return to pre-season training after being given an extended break following the World Cup.
