Mesut Ozil was given the captains armband heading into the International Champions Cup clash against PSG on Saturday.
Ozil started his first game since returning to pre-season training early after quitting international football.
The playmaker of Turkish origin scored the opening goal, finishing off a lovely cross along the floor from Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

Ozil quit the national team after a disastrous World Cup campaign which saw Germany crash out in the group stage.
The 29-year-old cited racism and discrimination as being key factors behind his call.
The former Germany international was vilified by sections of the German press, the far-right and leading Germany FA members after posing for a photograph with Turkish president Recep Tayyip Erdogan and the national teams poor form.
