World Cup star rejects Crystal Palace approach, reiterates desire for Champions League football

Crystal Palace have suffered a blow in their quest to sign Galatasaray star playmaker Younes Belhanda.

The Morocco international has been linked with a move away from the Turkish giants due to his high wages. Galatasaray are being closely monitored by financial fair play and are willing to sell their star assets at the right price.

We recently reported that Crystal Palace had tabled a £5.3 million offer for Belhanda.

However, Belhanda has told the Turkish Super Lig broadcaster BeIN sport that he has no intention of leaving the Turkish Super Lig champions.

The 28-year-old reiterated his desire to play in the UEFA Champions league with Galatasaray and that he does not want to go to England.

“I am happy in Galatasaray,” Belhanda told BeIN Sport.

“I will play here in the Champions League. I do not want to go to England.”

Belhanda attracted the attention of clubs across Europe following several impressive displays at the 2018 World Cup with Morocco.
