Bayer Leverkusen star midfielder Julian Brandt has thrown his support behind Arsenal playmaker Mesut Ozil.
The 29-year-old endured a difficult summer after posing for a photo with Turkey President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
Ozil ended up retiring from the Germany national team last month citing racism and discrimination.
Brandt has stated that Germany’s poor showing at the 2018 World Cup was not solely down to Ozil. The 22-year-old went onto state that is it wrong to place the blame on the Arsenal man.
