Leeds United have been in talks with Kasimpasa striker Mbaye Diagne this summer.
Turkish-Football reported that representatives from Leeds met with Diagne’s representative Ediz Balkan last month.
Kasimpasa informed Leeds the forward would cost around £3.6m [€4m] but negotiations were put on hold due to work permit issues which could cause a problem if he were to move to England.
Balkan revealed that they have applied for a EU passport as he is eligible for Italian citizenship.
Meanwhile, Diagne has opened up about his future in an interview with the Fanatik newspaper.
The Senegalese striker confirmed receiving offers and hinted that he could be on the move in six-months to one-year.
“There are offers from Turkey and abroad,” Diagne said.
“After the season I had this is to be expected but right now I am focused on Kasimpasa.
“But in six-months to one-year… well I can’t comment on what will happen.
“But right now I just want to continue playing as well as I did last term.”
