Arsenal are set to complete the transfer of Besiktas defender Domagoj Vida if Calum Chambers completes his move to Fulham according to the Fanatik sports newspaper.
Per the source, Vida is expected to leave the Black Eagles after being given the green light to leave.
Gunners boss Unai Emery is reportedly keen on replacing Chambers with Vida should the England defender join Fulham on loan.
The Sun reported that the Gunners are prepared to offer £25m for the World Cup finalist but that they would have to sell players to raise funds for the move.
Chambers is expected to leave on loan should he join Fulham, which would not change the financial situation.
The Fanatik report claims that the Vida transfer could actually go through for £17.9m which is considerably lower than the figures being quoted in England.
Turkish-Football asked Besiktas regarding the latest Arsenal reports. A club spokesman revealed that there are offers for Vida which are being considered but they refused to name clubs and underlined that as things stand there is no agreement to speak of.
Vida’s agent Ugur Avadan added to the transfer speculation over the weekend.
Avadan had a meeting with Vida and Besiktas club official Umut Guner and shared the following message on Instagram: “Vida wants to be a Besiktas legend.”
There were two interpretations of caption. That the defender wants to stay at the club or that Vida wants to leave the Black Eagles for a potential record transfer fee on good terms.

Vida played an important role in Croatia reaching the World Cup final in Russia this summer.
The 29-year-old joined Besiktas as a free transfer from Dynamo Kiev in January and has another four-years remaining on his contract.
