Galatasaray have set their sights on Chelsea star centre-back and England international Gary Cahill.
The Lions are on the hunt for a new defender following the departure of Jason Denayer this summer.
Galatasaray have so far failed to re-sign Denayer on a season-long loan and have begun to broaden their search.
According to a report from the Turkish outlet Fotomac, Galatasaray Chairman Mustafa Cengiz has now set his sights on Chelsea centre-back Gary Cahil.
Per the source, Galatasaray will try and sign Cahil on a free transfer this summer, despite the 32-year-old still having a year remaining on his contract.
The report goes onto state that Galatasrary believes Chelsea may be willing to offload Cahil for free this summer to free-up their wage bill.
Cahil played a major role in Antonio Conte’s side last season. The experienced defender made a total of 43 appearances for the Chelsea.
The Blues take on Huddersfield in their opening game of the 2018/19 season.
